Remington V-2002 Hair Dryer User Manual

Q: Why is the Vortex
®
dryer different than conventional hair
dryers?
A: Conventional hair dryers blow air straight at the scalp.
You use the Vortex
®
dryer closer to the scalp than ordinary
dryers. This enables the turbo jets to provide a gentle lift and
dry airflow. The turbo jets create a concentrated air stream
that enables the lifting and drying action. It works especially
well at the roots when hair is wet because it dries hair
inside out, versus outside in. The end result is fast,
efficient drying with styling control and manageability.
Q: Technically speaking, how does the Vortex
®
dryer work?
A: The turbo jets create a cone of forced air streams that meet
at a common point approximately 3 inches away from the
Jet Cone. The forced air is reflected back into the Jet Cone
Vents, lifting and surrounding the hair strands. As a result,
air is able to circulate around hair and dry it more efficiently.
Q: What if I do not see lift and dry action?
A: If hair is heavy or thick, you may not be ale to see a
dramatic lifting action, but be assured that the Vortex
®
dryer is doing its job to dry hair faster. The physical lifting
will vary according to hair weight, which is determined by
thickness, length and amount of water that is in the hair.
Q: What have other women who have used this new dryer
said about the Vortex
®
dryer?
A: Women have commented on how fast the Vortex
®
dryer
dries their hair. It causes fewer tangles and is very gentle
on their scalp and it does not burn their hair. Women have
also been pleased with the volume and manageability that
the Vortex
®
dryer provides.
Q: How do you style your hair with the Vortex
®
dryer?
A: Use the dryer approximately 3 inches from your head.
Just brush, dry and style your hair as usual. If the heat is
uncomfortable for you, use a the low heat settings and
speed.
If hair is fine, use the low heat and speed settings. Hair will
dry evenly and allow for enough time to style with a brush.
For long or thick hair, the best way to style is to start at
the root and work your way to the end of the hair strand.
Use the high heat and speed settings.
For spot/sectional styling, hold the dryer at the 3 inch
point from the area. That is where air comes to a point
or remove the Jet Cone.
Q: What are the holes inside the attachment?
A: Those are aerodynamic vents that enable the Vortex
®
dryer lifting action.
Q: Can I use the Jet Cone attachment on other dryers?
A: No, the Jet Cone attachment can only be used on the
Vortex
®
dryer. The fan and heat systems on the dryer
are specially designed to work with the Jet Cone due
to special airflow requirements.
Q: Can I use other attachments on the Vortex
®
dryer?
A: Only the Jet Cone attachment can be used on the
Vortex
®
dryer.
Q: Can my hair get tangled in the turbo jets?
A: No, the turbo jets are safe and cannot tangle or trap hair.
Q: Is the Jet Cone removable?
A: Yes, just be sure to use caution when removing the Jet
Cone after use because it can become hot.
Q: How can I use the Vortex
®
dryer without the Jet Cone?
A: Your can remove the Jet Cone to use the dryer for sectional
styling. Of course, there will be no lift and dry action in
this use.
Q: If I hold the dryer more than 3 inches from my head,
will it still work?
A: In order for the Jet Cone to provide the lift and dry
action, it must be within 3 inches from the scalp.
You may use it more than 3 inches, as it will work
as a traditional dryer with airflow in one direction.
Q: My hair is blowing all over, and there is no control.
What is happening?
A: The Vortex
®
dryer must be held within 3 inches of the
scalp or hair section in order to work properly.
