STRAIGHTENING YOUR HAIR
1. Take one section of hair approximately 2" wide,
and smooth it out with a comb.
2. Place hair section between the hot plates and
clamp down firmly on the handles. You will
achieve professional results if you work from the
scalp to the ends of the hair.
3. Hold the unit in position for a few seconds
depending on type of hair (5 seconds for
fine hair and up to 8 seconds for medium to
coarse hair).
4. To remove hair from the unit, simply release
pressure on the handles and allow hair to
gently slip out from the straightening plates.
5. The straightening process requires some
overlapping: match the outermost ridge of your
hair with the ridge at the end of the plates.
Close the straightener around the hair and hold
in position again for 5 to 8 seconds.
6. Repeat the process until you have achieved the
look you desire. With a little experimentation
you can attain a hairstyle that is completely your
own.
Maintenance
USER MAINTENANCE
INSTRUCTIONS
To clean the plate surface, make sure the unit
is cool and unplugged before detaching the
plates. Wipe the coated plates with a damp
cloth. No other maintenance is required.
To prevent a build-up of hard water limescale
in the water reservoir, add 3-4 drops of
vinegar to the water reservoir, top up to
the fill line with water and plug in the
Protect & Shine 3-in-1 Steam
Straightener. Close the unit to allow it to
steam for around 5 minutes then unplug it
and rinse out the water reservoir.
STORAGE
When not in use, unplug the unit. Allow it
to cool, empty tank and store out of
reach of children in a safe, dry location.
Never wrap the cord around the appliance
since this will cause the cord to wear
prematurely and break. Handle cord
carefully, and avoid jerking, twisting or
straining it especially at plug connections.
