1. Open the battery cover and install four alkaline
AA batteries in the battery compartment, ensuring
that battery polarity is correct. Close the battery
compartment cover.
2. Plug the end of the cuff tubing into the monitor
connector as shown at right.

3. See illustrations above. Apply the cuff around the upper arm as shown in the
cuff label diagram. The cuff should not be too tight or too loose; two fingers
should be easily inserted between cuff and upper arm. If the cuff is applied
too tightly, or over thick clothing, high or inaccurate measurements may
result.
4. Before taking a measurement, take 3 ~ 5 deep breaths and
relax. In order to obtain accurate measurement results,
remain seated, keep your arm and hands still, keep the cuff
at heart level, and do not talk during measurement.
5. Press button “O/|” as shown at right.

6. All symbols will display for 2 seconds (a); you will hear two short beeps, then
“0” will display with an upward arrow flashing (b). Pump the inflation valve
until the reading reaches the recommended pumping value.
7.
When measurement is complete, you will hear a long beep; the blood pressure
and pulse measurements will then display. Press the rapid deflation valve to
quickly deflate the cuff. The measurement date and time will display alternately
(c).
8. Press button “O/|” to turn the device off.
