TRANSPORT READY OPTIONS.*
The new TDX
®
Family offers a
transport ready option (TRRO) that
includes four tie-down locations, a
battery securement system and a
wheelchair-anchored pelvic belt.
The chairs with TRRO configuration
have been crash-tested in accordance
with the ANSI/RESNA Vol. 1 Section
19.5.3 Frontal Impact Test (W/C 19).**
Invacare also offers the TRBKTS
option. Unlike the TRRO configura-
tion, a chair with TRBKTS option
does not have a pelvic belt and it has
not been crash-tested in accordance
with W/C 19 or any other standard.
These options reinforce Invacare’s
market leadership in transport-ready
wheelchairs for consumers.
* As of this date, the U.S. Department of
Transportation has not approved any tie-down
system for transportation of a user while in a
wheelchair in a moving vehicle of any
type. Accordingly, Invacare recommends that
wheelchair users not be transported in vehicles
of any kind while in wheelchairs and should be
transferred for transportation into appropriate
seating in vehicles and use the restraints made
available by the auto industry.
** Please refer to the TDX SP (06-034) sell sheet or
page 25 of this lierature for the required
ANSI/RESNA W/C19 sec. 6.2 Presale Literature
Notification.
