Invacare Solara Mobility Aid User Manual

55 Degrees of Tilt
With 45 degrees of posterior tilt,
the Solara allows the caregiver
to change the consumer’s
positioning throughout the day
for comfort/pain relief, muscle
tone management, pressure
relief, feeding/swallowing and
postural support. 10 degrees of
anterior tilt facilitates additional
positioning or transfers. A simple
angle indicator provides
caregivers with a point of
reference when positioning the
consumer for different activities.
Stable Base
With a wheelbase shorter than
fixed pivot point tilts, the Solara
balances the consumer within
the footprint of the wheelchair.
This provides maximum stability
even when seating is mounted in
front of the back canes. There is
no guesswork or adjustment to
balance the consumer within the
base frame.
A flared front end adds stability
to the chair and reduces
interference between casters and
legrests for consumers with tight
hamstrings. Additionally, a flared
front end provides clearance for
erratic foot propellers, such as
consumers with traumatic brain
injury or developmental
challenges.
