14 Care and maintenance
NOTE: Have your wheelchair checked at least once a year by an authorised Invacare®
Dealer, to ensure that vehicle safety and roadworthiness of the wheelchair are maintained.
Cleaning the wheelchair
When cleaning the wheelchair, please observe the following points:
• Only ever clean the Joystick Box, seat upholstery and armrests with a damp cloth and a gentle cleaning
agent.
• Never use abrasive cleaners.
• Never expose electronic components to water.
• Never use a high pressure cleaner.
Care for seat cushions(Invacare® Ultimate Special Seating System)
The seat cushion has a two-layer cover.
The upper cover can easily be removed and cleaned after opening the zipper.
The lower cover is water-resistant (incontinence cover) and can cleaned by
wiping it off.
