2.2 General Warnings
3 Removing/Installing the Raised Toilet Seat
Perform one of the following procedures depending on the Raised Toilet Seat type:
Model 1300RTS - Raised Toilet Seat
1. Put the Raised Toilet Seat in place on the toilet bowl with the tall end of the seat towards the back of the
toilet bowl. Refer to DETAIL“A”.
2. Properly seat the inner ring inside the toilet bowl.
3. Check the stability of the Raised Toilet Seat. Realign and/or adjust as necessary.
Model 1301RTS - Raised Toilet Seat with Adjustment Knob
1. Put the rear wings of the Raised Toilet Seat in place underneath the 1-3/4 inch toilet lip at the back of the
toilet bowl.
2. Rotate the Raised Toilet Seat down until the front of the seat rests on the toilet bowl.
3. If necessary, rotate the adjustment knob counterclockwise until the bracket fits inside the toilet bowl.
4. Turn the adjustment knob clockwise to tighten the bracket against the inner surface of the toilet bowl.
5. Check the stability of the Raised Toilet Seat. Realign and/or adjust as necessary.

Invacare products are specifically designed and manufactured for use in conjunction with
Invacare accessories. Accessories designed by other manufacturers have not been
tested by Invacare and are not recommended for use with Invacare products.

WARNING
ALWAYS make sure that the Raised Toilet Seat is securely in place and stable before
each use. Although the Raised Toilet Seat is designed for use on most popular toilets,
it may not work on certain unusual or artistic bowls.
Be sure that the user’s weight is centered on the Raised Toilet Seat as the seat may tip
if the user leans too far forward or from side to side.
Invacare recommends the use of a toilet safety frame or grab bars in addition to the
Raised Toilet Seat.

To remove the Raised Toilet Seat, reverse this procedure.
The existing toilet seat and lid can be flipped up or removed depending upon the amount of usage.
