Question About White Rodgers Thermometer 1F80-261
Thermostat works fine however it seems to overchar...

Thermostat works fine however it seems to overcharge the battery. After 6 months battery is bulging, leaking and voltage is 1.66 and 1.72 volts. Instructions do not say to put a rechargable battery in here but i HAVE USED A TYPICAL EVEREDY ALKALINE DRY CELL.
