My kids hit my thermostat with a football and caus...

My kids hit my thermostat with a football and caused the whole thing to kind of shift. Tthe cover fell off and does not match up anymore so i know the things have moved. My heat wont kick on now. It displays that its on but my house is freezing. What do I do?
