I had to play around with it since I found nothing online. They no longer make this model. So I first pressed the button on the back and with that pressed down I pressed the on button a few times and it read "calibrating" on the top left of the screen. When I got done, it had chaged from C to F. Wait until it reads "ready" before you take your temp.
