I just bought the Taylor Adjustable Head Digital Thermometer, do you cook the meat with it in the meat or just test the meat from time to time? And if that is what you do, how long does it take for it to register?

0 The instructions clearly say do not leave this for mom at her in the meat while cooking. It is an instant read the digital monitor and should be inserted once the meet is out and then if necessary put the meat back in until it reaches the optimum temperature that you desire.
