5 I don't have the manual but I can tell you how to setup, update one of the four settings in the scale. First press MODE, and the weight will flash. Set the weight. Press MODE, and set the age. Press MODE, set the Male/Female icon. Press MODE, set the Normal versus Athletic pointer. When you press MODE again it will beep one long beep at you. Next press the Up arrow for setting #1 and #3 or press the Down arrow for the #2 and #4 setting. Once you have the number for the setting showing (1, 2, 3, or 4) press the MODE button once. It will beep again at you. This saves the above settings into the number you chose (1-4). The scale will go off. To choose the different settings when stepping on the scale, choose the Up (1 & 3) or Down (2 & 4) arrow for the setting, then push the MODE button. The scale will beep at you and you can stand on the scale using the chosen settings. To update one of the settings, choose your setting by using the arrow buttons and MODE button. Then use the MODE button to scroll through the settings. Update the ones you need to update like age each year, then at the end when it beeps at you, push the Up or Down arrow to choose your setting number, and push the MODE button once. This will save the settings over this number. To my knowledge there is no delete function on this scale. You simply save the new settings over the old settings in the same number. Hope this helps.
