my new easy view digital scales won't reset to 0.0...

my new easy view digital scales won't reset to 0.0. It starts off at 1 stone 2 3/4. I have tried them on several types of floor (wood, vinyl) in my house on different levels and the same problem every time. How can I adjust them?
