Question About Salter Housewares Scale None

When turned on. the scale displays a full window of information. It changes so rapidly that I cannot read the information. The display now reads " out 2 ". I cannot clear this except by turning the scale off. I have pressed and held the clr button to no avail. "out 2" remains the display until I turn the scale off. Please help. Thanks
