HOW DOES THE THERMOMETER INDICATE THAT IT HAS THE RIGHT TEMPERATURE? DOES IT BEEP?

2 Push the button and wait for the display to read "L". Put the tip under your tonque. The degrees symbol will flash while it is reading. When it is done it will beep a series of beeps and the degrees display will stop flashing.

0 MY KD-118 DOES NOT AND NEVER HAS BEEPED! CAN IT BE RETURNED FOR ONE THAT WORKS PROPERLY? IF SO, WHAT IS THE RETURN PROCEDURE?
