6 I totally agree with the lawsuit because I had the same problem with my thermometer.My son is burning up and it reads 98.8.I'm thinking NO WAY! I mean he was hot.So I get online like many others of you to see if I can find a manuel because I've never used an ear thermometer before but I could not find one.However all your comments is what I found instead...DON'T BUY IT TOTAL CRAP!!!! I am really angry about this purchase.

5 My son was like fire one day and the thing read 97.1 and i knew that wasn't so. So I took him to the hospital and it read 102.1 so I total agree with everybody. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT GOOD AT ALL. PLEASE PLEASE DON'T BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!

4 The KI-8170 product is NOT reliable. I have 5-year old triplets and I just had a significant error in the temp reading of one of my kids - when I went on the net to locate the user manual it was nowhere to be found. I am ready to start a class action suit ....... reply with legal contact info NOW or I will proceed with legal action .

3 my daughter had croup and therometer said 98.6 and ER said 104.1! KI-8170... hcarrasco1987@hotmail.com

3 i had to take my daughter age 23months to the er due to sickness your thermometer read 98.6 both times i took it. when i was in the er the nurse took her temp rectonally and it read 104.6 i showed her my thermometer and once again it read 99.8 we did it twice so there for you need to eaither give me my money back or expect a law suite and i have the emergemcy room nurse that is a witness you may call me at 951-413-4967 to resolve this matter

3 never did work right when taken temp like others it read 98.6 when it was actually 101.6

0 Same here, this this never did work. Another piece of garbage thermometer that I purchased from Shoppers Drug Mart. Not only unreliable temperature readings, it frequently did not even register any temperature even though the batteries are sound!!
