My client, am a relief carer, has an impact M hearing aid, it constabtly emits a high pitched noise regardless of volume control. Have changed the battery, what more can I do? Have cleaned the ear piece.

5 Unfortunately, if basic maintenance like battery change, volume adjustments and (yes, as silly as it sounds from someone professionally trained) thwacking it hard do not work it is now repair or replace time. It is likely a component failure that cannot be fixed by someone untrained, if at all.
