HI I have this thermometre and know its a bit old but can someone please tell me how to use it?! I can turn it on and place a cover on. It then asks me to place in the ear but won't measure the temp -do I press a button? hold it in? please help! Thanks

5 press the button until you here beeping and then your temp has been recorded
