I bought this scale today around 11:00 AM from bed, bath and beyond in Williston, VT. I took the strip out from under the battery as directed. The digital numbers showed up fro about 15 seconds then there is nothing. You also mentioned about a static cling label. If that is on, maybe that's why it doesn't work, but how do I remove it?? There is no corner that I can pull up!
