5 Instructions for SC300: http://web.archive.org/web/20061029012330/www.homedics.com/prod/getpdf.aspx?name=SC300.pdf Page 2 states that the scales require a 3 volt CR2032 lithium battery. "Place the new battery with '+' sign up on angle with one side under the tab opposite the holding bracket and push down."
