5 When the "Lb" symbol is flashing, press the up or down button to change to "Kg", and vice versa, then press the "Select" button to continue.

4 1. Power up the scale by applying weight, then releasing it. 2. When the scale zeroes, press and hold the "Select" button. 3. The "Lb" symbol will flash. Press the "Select" button to toggle to the "Kg" setting. 4. Continue pressing the "Select" button to prompt for the time and date. See the manual for the BFM580 series scale for other directions. Press and hold both a number button and the "Select" button to set options for an individual user.

-1 I have this scale and one of the springs for the battery came out? Anybody know if I can purchase this battery compartment or the spring? My e-mail is Sharon.quamme@frontier.com if any one has an answer for me.
