I just purchasec a WW66 Conair Scale and I cannot ...

I just purchasec a WW66 Conair Scale and I cannot get past the user 1 for customizing it. I have the manual and I have followed the directions. Still does not work. Is there a way to edit or create a new user? Or do you think it may be defective? Please help, Diana O'Connell pdxdi@comcast.net
