My Braun toothbrush (variable speed one) has erode...

My Braun toothbrush (variable speed one) has eroded my gums terribly. My dentist is very disburbed. Whan can Braun do to help me out. I spent a good bit for this item. I have now had to get a Sonicare one. Over $80 wasted on the Braun. My old Braun was good. I had no idea I was doing so much damage.
