UNABLE TO CLOSE HOOD...

nO LONGER HAVE THE MANUAL FOR THIS DRYER. WE OPENED IT BUT ARE UNABLE TO CLOSE IT. HOOD WILL NOT BEND BACKWARDS LIKE IT SHOULD. WHAT ARE WE DOING WRONG? HELP AND THANKS
