PROCEDURE 10 TRANSPORT
This Procedure Includes the Following:
Transporting the Scooter
WARNING
After ANY adjustments, repair or service and BEFORE use, make sure that all
attaching hardware is tightened securely - otherwise, injury or damage may
result.
TRANSPORTING THE SCOOTER (FIGURES 1 AND 2)
DISASSEMBLING THE SCOOTER
NOTE: To reassemble the scooter, reverse the following steps.
1. If applicable, remove the front basket. Refer to REMOVING/INSTALLING THE
FRONT BASKET in PROCEDURE 11 of this manual.
2. Fold the back down. Refer to FOLDING/UNFOLDING THE BACK in PROCE-
DURE 6 of this manual.
3. Remove the seat. Refer to REMOVING/INSTALLING THE SEAT in PROCEDURE 5 of this
manual.
4. FOR ZOOM-3 MODELS ONLY - proceed to STEP 10.
5. Remove the rear shroud. Refer to REMOVING THE REAR SHROUD in PROCEDURE
9 in this procedure of the manual.
6. Remove the batteries with cable assemblies. Refer to REMOVING/INSTALLING THE BAT-
TERIES W/CABLES in PROCEDURE 4 of this manual.
7. FOR ALL MODELS EXCEPT ZOOM-3 and PANTHER MX-4, perform the
following: (FIGURE 1)
A. For Models Built Without Delta Tillers:
1. Disconnect the BLUE connector of tiller wiring harness from BLUE connector
of controller wiring harness (DETAIL "A").
2. Disconnect the YELLOW
connector of tiller wiring harness from YELLOW connector of controller
wiring harness (DETAIL "A").
NOTE: In newer models (After 10/00), wiring harnesses from tiller to controller and connectors
have been consolidated for ease of use.
B. For Models Built With Delta Tillers:
Disconnect the ORANGE connector of tiller wiring harness from ORANGE
connector of controller wiring harness (DETAIL "B").
C. If applicable, remove the tiller wiring harness from the wire supports attached to
the controller (DETAIL "A").
