INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, especially
when children are present, basic safety pre-
cautions should always be followed, includ-
ing the following:

DANGER – Any hair dryer is elec-
trically live even when the switch is off.
To reduce the risk of death or injury by elec-
tric shock:
1. Always “unplug it” immediately after using.
2. Do not use while bathing or in a shower.
3. Do not place or store appliance where it
can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
4. Do not place in, or drop into, water or
other liquid.
5. If an appliance falls into water, “unplug it”
immediately. Do not reach into the water.
WARNING – To reduce the risk of
burns, electrocution, fire, or injury to persons:
1. This appliance should never be left un-
attended when plugged in.
2. This appliance should not be used by, on,
or near children or individuals with certain
disabilities.
3. Use this appliance only for its intended
use as described in this manual. Do not
use attachments not recommended by the
manufacturer.
4. Never operate this appliance if it has a dam-
aged cord or plug, if it is not working properly,
if it has been dropped, damaged, or dropped
into water. Return the appliance to a Conair
Service Center for examination and repair.
5. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
Do not pull, twist, or wrap line cord around
dryer, even during storage.
6. Never block the air openings of the
appliance or place it on a soft surface, such
as a bed or couch, where the air openings
may be blocked. Keep the air openings free
of lint, hair, and the like.
7. Never use while sleeping.
8. Never drop or insert any object into any
opening or hose.
9. Do not use outdoors or operate where
aerosol (spray) products are being used
or where oxygen is being administered.
10. Do not use an extension cord to
operate dryer.
11. Do not direct hot air toward eyes or other
heat-sensitive areas.
12. Attachments may be hot during use.
Allow them to cool before handling.
13. Do not place appliance on any surface
while it is operating.
14. While using the appliance, keep your hair
out of it. Keep your hair away from the air
inlets.
15. Do not use with voltage converter.

OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use
only. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz)
only. Standard Dryers are designed to oper-
ate at 110 to 125 volts A.C.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one
blade is wider than the other). As a safety fea-
ture, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt
to defeat this safety feature.
HOW TO SET UP AND USE
YOUR SOFT BONNET DRYER
1. Open the door on the side panel of the Soft
Bonnet Dryer. Pull out the line cord, the hose
and the bonnet.
2. To fully extend the hose, press the release
button on the hose to loosen the locking
mechanism.
3. Attach the bonnet to the hose by lining up
the protrusions in the hose locking ring with
the indentations in the bonnet locking ring.
Twist slightly to lock.
4. Place Soft Bonnet Dryer flat (not standing
up like a purse) on table or countertop.
Connect power cord to outlet.
5. Place bonnet over hair, pull drawstring
comfortably tight and lock in by pushing
locking mechanism button and sliding close
to the metal ring in the bonnet.
6. Turn Soft Bonnet Dryer on. High setting is
best for very wet hair; medium and low set-
tings are for more gentle drying or touch-ups
on hair that has been lightly misted with
water. Drying times vary with heat settings
and different hair types; you will soon learn
which heat setting and timing works best for
your hair. For best curl results, turn the dryer
to the "cool" setting for a few minutes at the
end of your drying time. Cool air sets curls
for long-lasting results.
7. To use concentrator or vent brush for pre-
cision drying and styling, unlock the bonnet
from the hose and attach the concentrator or
vent brush by lining up the lines on the lock-
ing rings of hose and attachment. Slightly
twist clockwise to lock. Use the concentrator
as you would use a concentrator on a regular
hair dryer and use the vent brush for preci-
sion styling. Note that the hose may become
hot during the drying process. Rest hose on
clothing (i.e. shirt collar, robe) rather than
your skin.
8. For hot conditioning treatments, follow the
directions of the treatment manufacturer.
Generally, the conditioning lotion or liquid is
distributed in the hair and heat is applied until
the desired conditioning has been achieved.
9. After use of bonnet, push the locking
mechanism button again and pull away from
the bonnet to unlock the drawstring. Take
bonnet off and unlock it from the hose. Let
bonnet and hose cool down for a few minutes
until they are no longer warm to the touch.
Then fold the bonnet and store it in the dryer
housing. Push in the easy lock button on the
hose while at the same time pulling the draw-
string: the springy hose will conveniently
compact for storage inside the housing.
Gently loop powercord and store it in the
housing as well. Make sure prongs on power
plug do not damage bonnet or hose.
Attachments do not store in the housing.
10. Dryer stands up on its side for space-
saving storage.
11. In the unlikely event that the dryer shuts
off during use, please check the inlet grill for
lint build-up and clean if necessary.

DE USO
Este aparato fue diseñado para uso doméstico.
Úselo solamente con Corriente Alterna (60
hertzios). Los secadores estándar están
diseñados para funcionar con Corriente
Alterna de 110 a 125 voltios. Este aparato no
tiene doble voltaje.
Este aparato tiene un enchufe polarizado (un
polo es más ancho que otro). Como medida
de seguridad, se podrá enchufar de una sola
manera en la toma de corriente polarizada. Si
no entra por completo, inviértelo. Si aún no
entra completamente, llame a un electricista
calificado. No intente vencer esta función de
seguridad.
COMO ALISTAR Y USAR SU SECADOR
1. Abra el compartimiento que se encuentra
en el lado del aparato. Saque el cable, el tubo
de aire y el gorro.
2. Oprima el botón de despejo del tubo de
aire para aflojar el sistema de bloqueo y
desplegar el tubo
3. Conecte el gorro con el tubo de aire, aline-
ando los relieves que se encuentran en la
abrazadera del tubo de aire con las hen-
diduras que se encuentran en la del gorro.
Déle una ligera vuelta para sujetar.
4. Coloque el gorro planamente sobre una
mesa (no lo ponga de pie como una cartera)
y enchufe el cable en una toma de corriente.
5. Coloque el gorro sobre la cabeza, apriete el
cordón de manera confortable y asegure el
gorro, juntando el botón y el anillo de metal
del sistema de cierre.
6. Encienda el aparato. Le recomendamos
usar temperatura alta para secar el cabello
muy mojado y temperatura media o baja para
un secado más suave y para retoques entre
lavados. El tiempo de secado variará según la
temperatura usada y el tipo de su cabello.
Encontrará rápidamente cual temperatura y
tiempo usar para su cabello. Para un resulta-
do óptimo con el cabello ondulado, use el
ajuste de temperatura a “fresco” (“cool”) en
los últimos minutos del secado. El aire fresco
fijará los rizos para resultados duraderos.
7. Use la boquilla concentradora de aire o el
cepillo caliente cuando necesite un secado y
un modelado más precisos. Saque el gorro y
sujete el accesorio deseado, alineando las
rayas del accesorio con las del tubo de aire.
Gire en el sentido horario para sujetarlo. Use
la boquilla concentradora de aire de la misma
manera que con un secador estándar. Use el
cepillo caliente cuando necesite lograr un
modelado preciso.
8. Puede usar el gorro para tratamientos de
acondicionamiento térmico. Siga las instruc-
ciones del fabricante. Normalmente, se aplica
la loción acondicionadora en el cabello y se
calienta el cabello hasta lograr el nivel de
acondicionamiento deseado.
9. Cuando haya terminado, oprima el mecan-
ismo de cierre para abrir el gorro y aflojar el
cordón. Quítese el gorro y desencaje el tubo
de aire. Deje el gorro y el tubo de aire enfri-
arse durante unos minutos hasta que no los
sienta caliente. Doble el gorro y guárdelo en el
compartimiento del secador. Oprima el botón
de despejo del tubo mientras jale el cordón
para comprimir el tubo antes de regresarlo en
el compartimiento. Recoja el cable y guárdelo
en el compartimiento también. Asegúrese que
la clavija del cable no lastime el gorro o el
tubo de aire.
10. Puede almacenar el secador verticalmente
en su lado para ahorrar espacio
11. Si el secador se apagara mientras lo esté
usando, examine la rejilla de entrada de aire y
límpiela si fuera necesario.
