damaged or broken comb or with teeth missing
from the blades, as injury may result. Before
each use, make certain the blades are aligned
properly and oiled.
11. Do not use the appliance outdoors or
where aerosol (spray) products are being used
or oxygen is being administered.

INSTRUCTIONS
FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Remove the battery compartment cover by
pushing in and down toward the bottom of the
trimmer.
2. Align the AA batteries with the positive and
negative positions indicated inside the battery
compartment. Being careful not to bend the
clips, insert the negative end of each battery
first so it will slip easily into position.
3. Return the battery cover to its original position
by pushing it in and up until you hear a small
click as it locks into place.
4. To use your trimmer, push ON/OFF switch
upwards to ON position.
5. After you finish using your trimmer, push
down on the ON/OFF switch to turn the
trimmer off.
6. For your convenience, the trimmer comes
with a storage base to hold the trimmer and
accessories.
USER MAINTENANCE
INSTRUCTIONS
TAKING CARE OF YOUR TRIMMER
OILING THE BLADES
About once a month you should oil the trimmer
blades with the oil provided in your kit. It is best
to do this over a piece of newspaper. Turn the
trimmer on and hold it so that the blades are
pointed downward. Spread one drop of oil across
the blades, then turn the trimmer off and wipe
away the excess oil with a soft cloth.
Be careful not to use too much oil and don’t oil
your trimmer more than necessary, as this could
damage the motor. (Never attempt to oil the
motor bearing, as it is permanently lubricated.)
After oiling the blades, return the trimmer and
oil packet to the trimmer storage base. KEEP OIL
OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
ON/OFF SWITCH
To operate, simply push slide toward blade;
to stop, push slide away from blade.
*Requires 2 AA batteries (not included). We recommend using
alkaline batteries in your trimmer because they last longer.
BLADE CARE
Because the trimmer blades are precision-
made for a very special use, they should
always be handled with care. Each time you
finish using the trimmer, take the cleaning
brush provided and brush away any loose
hair that has collected in the blades. Then
store the trimmer in its storage base to pro-
tect the blades until the next use.
Be especially careful when changing or
adjusting blades. When you have your trim-
mer serviced, be sure that both blades are
sharpened or replaced at the same time.
To promote the long life of the appliance,
use your trimmer only for the purpose
intended by the manufacturer – to trim
your beard and mustache.
REMOVING BLADE SET
This trimmer comes with a detachable
blade set; which makes maintenance and
replacement easy.
To remove the blade set:
• Make sure the trimmer is in the OFF
position
• With the power switch facing you, press
the blade on the teeth and in direction away
from you until they pop out of the housing
To replace the blade set:
• Make sure the taper control is set to the
longest #1position.
• Looking at the trimmer from above you
will see a notch at the back of the trimmer.
• There is a tab on the blade set on the bot-
tom, opposite the blades
Position that tab so that it fits into the notch
inside the trimmer head
Push the blade set down onto the trimmer
head until it snaps into place.
THREE POSITION TAPER CONTROL
The Conair trimmer taper control switch is
positioned at the back of the unit. You can
hold the trimmer in your hand and adjust
the switch as needed. The taper control
eliminates the need in some situations for an
attachment comb because it lets you gradual
-
ly adjust the closeness of the cut. For closest
cut and shortest hair, push switch all the way
to level #3. To increase the cutting length,
slowly push control down to level #2 or #1 for
longer cut. Note that too much clipped hair on
the clipper can slow down its operation. To
remove it without removing the blades simply
use the enclosed cleaning brush and gently
sweep away the clipped hair from cutting sur
-
faces. The taper control has no function when
using the nose and ear attachment.
GROWING A BEARD AND MUSTACHE
There are three key factors that will deter-
mine which beard or mustache style is best
for you:
1. The shape and dimensions of your face.
2. The natural growth of your beard/mustache.
3. The thickness of your beard/mustache. If you
are unsure about the type of beard or mustache
that would most suit your face, speak with a
professional hair stylist and ask for an opinion
on what style would be best. Once your beard
or mustache has been styled, it is essential that
you maintain its appearance. To do this, use your
trimmer to trim your beard/mustache weekly.
For the best trimming results, your beard should
be slightly damp (NOT WET) when using your
trimmer. This will prevent the trimmer from
removing more hair than desired.
TYPES OF BEARDS/MUSTACHES
GETTING STARTED:
OUTLINING YOUR BEARD
1. It is always best to begin
with a clean, slightly damp
beard.
2. After you have combed
through your beard in the
direction it grows naturally, you will want to
outline the desired shape, beginning under
your jawline.
3. Begin defining your beard’s shape under
your chin and work upward on each side
of your face toward your ears. Then define
the upper outline of your beard across your
cheeks, past your sideburns, and toward
your hai
rline.
NOW YOU’RE READY TO TRIM
YOUR BEARD
1. Your trimmer adjusts to five positions so
you can have a beard length from 1/8” (short
-
est) to 5/8” (longest).
2. To use the 5-position comb, slide the unit
over the trimmer blades and snap it down
into position. At first, until you become familiar
with the adjustments, use the longest trim
setting (5/8”).
(You can always go back and make your beard
a little shorter.)
3. Begin trimming your beard using smooth,
even strokes. Start with your sideburns

(Never attempt to
trim against the
natural growth of your
beard because the hair
will be cut too short.)
4. If you decide you
want a closer trim, you can now adjust the 5-
position comb attachment to a shorter setting
(such as 1/2” or 3/8”) and go over your beard
again until you achieve the desired length.
BLENDING THE JAWLINE
1. The Three Jawline Attachments will help
you to achieve a neat, finished trim under your
chin. To use one of the attachments, press
it down over
the trimmer
blades until
it clicks into
position.
2. Hold the trimmer in an upright position
and begin trimming under your jawline, using
short, even strokes.
3. After your beard is blended, turn off the
trimmer and remove the attachment by gently
pulling up on tab.
TO TRIM YOUR MUSTACHE
1. For best results, start with a clean, slightly
damp mustache.
2. Comb through your mustache in the
direction it grows.
3. Place the 5-position
comb over the trimmer
blades and snap it into
position. It is a good idea
to start with the longest
trim setting adjustment. (You can always go
back and cut your mustache more closely
with a shorter setting.)
ALWAYS TRIM YOUR MUSTACHE
FROM THE TOP DOWN
4. After your mustache has been trimmed to the
desired length, remove
the 5-position comb and,
using the blades only,
define the outline of the
bottom of your mustache.
USING THE NOSE AND EAR TRIMMER
ATTACHMENT
1. Make sure the trimmer on/off switch is in the
“off” position
2. Detach normal trimming blade (see
“Removing Blade Set” instructions)
Similar to attaching the normal trimming
blade, looking at the trimmer from above
you will see a notch at the back of the
trimmer.
3. Fit the tab on the back of the nose trimmer
into the notch inside the trimmer head
4. Push the nose trimmer towards the front of
the trimmer until it snaps into place
5. Turn the on/off switch to the “on” position
6. Gently use the trimmer to trim away long
nose hairs and ear hairs being very careful
not to insert the trimmer too far into the ear or
nose. The trimmer should go no farther than the
inside edge of your nose or ear.
7. While detaching the nose/ear attachment,
make sure the power switch is facing you and
press the attachment away from you.

1. Remueva la cubierta del compartimiento
para baterías, oprimiendo la parte trasera y
deslizándola hacia atrás.
2. Instale dos baterías de tipo AA, respetando
los signos de polaridad. Inserte el polo
negativo primero, teniendo cuidado de no
doblar las patas.
3. Vuelva a cerrar el compartimiento para
baterías, apretando la cubierta hasta encajarla.
4. Para encender el aparato, ponga el botón de
encendido/apagado en la posición “ON”.
5. Para apagar el aparato, ponga el botón de
encendido/apagado en la posición “OFF”.
6. Guarde el aparato y sus accesorios en la
base de almacenamiento incluida.

CUCHILLAS
LUBRICAR LAS CUCHILLAS
Lubrique las cuchillas aproximadamente una vez
al mes, usando el aceite provisto. Para no ensu
-
ciar, haga esto encima de un periódico. Encienda
el aparato y manténgalo bocabajo. Coloque unas
gotas de aceite sobre las cuchillas, apague el
aparato, y limpie el exceso de aceite con un paño
suave. No use demasiado aceite y no lubrique el
aparato más de lo necesario. Esto podría lasti
-
mar el motor. Nunca intente lubricar las piezas
del motor, ya que son lubricadas de manera
permanente. Después de lubricar las cuchillas,
regrese el aparato y el aceite lubricante en la
base de almacenamiento. MANTENGA EL ACEITE
FUERA DEL ALCANCE DE LOS NIÑOS.
BOTÓN DE ENCENDIDO/APAGADO
Para encender el aparato, deslice el botón
hacia las cuchillas (“ON”). Para apagar el
aparato, deslice el botón en la dirección
opuesta (“OFF”).
* Se requieren 2 baterías de tipo AA (no incluidas). Le
recomendamos que use baterías alcalinas, las cuales
son más duraderas.
LIMPIAR LAS CUCHILLAS
Las cuchillas fueron diseñadas con precisión
para un uso específico, y deberían recibir un
cuidado muy especial. Limpie las cuchillas
después de cada uso con el cepillo de limp-
ieza provisto, luego regrese el aparato en
la base de almacenamiento. Tenga cuidado
cuando sea necesario cambiar o ajustar las
cuchillas. Asegúrese que las dos cuchil-
las siempre estén cambiadas o afiladas
al mismo tiempo. Para seguir disfrutando
de su aparato durante años, utilícelo úni-
camente con el propósito para el cual fue
diseñado: cortar la barba y el bigote.
CAMBIAR EL JUEGO DE CUCHILLAS
El aparato incluye un juego de cuchillas
amovible para que pueda limpiar y cambiar
las cuchillas fácilmente.
PARA SACAR EL JUEGO DE CUCHILLAS
• Asegúrese que el aparato esté apagado
(“OFF”).
• Con el botón de encendido/apagado frente
suyo, empuje la parte inferior de las cuchil-
las hacia arriba hasta que el juego de cuchil-
las salga de la caja.
PARA REEMPLAZAR EL JUEGO DE CUCHILLAS:
• Asegúrese que el botón de ajuste del
recorte esté en la posición más larga.
• Si observa el aparato desde arriba, verá
una hendidura en la parte posterior.
• Hay una lengüeta en la parte inferior del
juego de cuchillas. Coloque la lengüeta en
la hendidura. Aprieta el juego de cuchillas
hacia abajo hasta que caiga en su lugar.
BOTON DE AJUSTE DEL RECORTE
CON 3 POSICIONES
Su cortadora está dotada de un botón de
ajuste de lo largo del recorte, ubicado atrás
del aparato, lo cual le deja controlar lo largo
del cortado a medida que corta el cabello. El
botón de ajuste del recorte le permite cortar
el cabello más corto o más largo, sin necesi
-
dad de usar un peine accesorio. Para el corte
más corto, empuje el botón hacia arriba,
hasta el nivel 3. Para un corte más largo,
empuje el botón lentamente hacia abajo,
hasta el nivel 2 o 1.
Su cortadora puede perder velocidad si
recortes de cabello estén trabados en las
cuchillas. Para limpiar las cuchillas sin sacar
-
las, utilice el cepillo de limpieza provisto. La
palanca de ajuste de lo largo del recorte no
sirve cuando se usa el accesorio para la nariz
y los oídos.
BARBAS Y BIGOTES
El tipo de barba o de bigote que más con-
viene a su rostro depende de:
1. La forma y el tamaño de su rostro.
2. La forma del crecimiento natural de su
barba o de su bigote.
3. El espesor de su barba o de su bigote.
Si no está seguro del tipo de barba o bigote
que le conviene, busque el consejo de un
estilista profesional. Después de darle forma
a su barba o a su bigote, tendrá que man
-
tener su aspecto, usando la cortadora una
vez por semana.
Para lograr resultados óptimos, humedezca
ligeramente su barba o su bigote antes de
recortarlos (NO LO MOJE). Esto le dará un
corte más preciso.
TIPOS DE BARBAS Y DE BIGOTES
CORTAR SU BARBA
EL CONTORNEO
1. Se le hará más fácil cor
-
tar su barba si está limpia
y ligeramente humede
-
cida.
2. Peine su barba en la
dirección del crecimiento natural del pelo.
3. Empiece dando forma a su barba debajo
de la quijada y suba hacia la oreja, en cada
lado de su rostro. Siga dando forma al área
de la mejilla, a las patillas y al nacimiento
del pelo.
EL RECORTE
1. El peine accesorio de 5 posiciones le
permite ajustar lo largo del recorte de 3mm (lo
más corto) a 16mm (lo más largo).
2. Cuando quiera usar el peine accesorio,
ensártelo sobre las cuchillas. Use la posición
más larga (16mm) hasta que se acostumbre
al tamaño del recorte (siempre podrá volver a
acortar la barba).
3. Corte su barba con movimientos suaves y
parejos. Empiece por las patillas, luego baje
hacia la quijada. Nunca corte la barba en la
dirección opuesta a la del crecimiento del pelo.
El recorte resultaría demasiado corto.

4. Si desea un corte más corto, escoja un
ajuste menor (como
9mm o 13mm) y
acorte la barba hasta
conseguir el tamaño
deseado.
IGUALAR LA QUIJADA
1. Los tres peines accesorios para la quijada
le permitirán lograr un recorte neto y preciso.
Ensarte el peine accesorio deseado sobre las
cuchillas, un lado tras otro, hasta que caiga
en posición.
2. Mantenga la cortadora recta y corte el pelo
con pequeños movimientos parejos.
3. Cuando
haya termi

nado, apague
la cortadora
y saque el
peine accesorio, jalando la lengüeta.
CORTAR SU BIGOTE
1. Se le hará más fácil cortar su bigote si
está limpio y ligeramente humedecido.
2. Peine su bigote en la dirección del
crecimiento natural del pelo.
3. Ensarte el peine accesorio de 5
posiciones sobre las cuchillas. Empiece con
la posición más larga (siempre podrá volver
a acortar el bigote).
SIEMPRE CORTE SU BIGOTE DESDE
ARRIBA HASTA ABAJO
4. Cuando haya terminado, saque el peine
accesorio y déle forma a la parte inferior de
su bigote.
CORTAR EL PELO DE LA NARIZ Y
DE LOS OÍDOS
1. Asegúrese que el aparato esté apagado
(“OFF”).
2. Saque las cuchil
-
las (véase la sección
“Cambiar el juego de
cuchillas”). Si observa el
aparato desde arriba, verá
una hendidura en la parte posterior.
3. Hay una lengüeta atrás del accesorio para el
