Any hair dryer is electrically live
even when the switch is off.
To reduce the risk of death or injury by
electric shock:
1. Always “unplug it” immediately after using.
2. Do not use while bathing or in a shower.
3. Do not place or store appliance where it can
fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
4. Do not place in, or drop into, water or
other liquid.
5. If an appliance falls into water, “unplug it”
immediately. Do not reach into the water.

1. This appliance should never be left un attended
when plugged in.
2. This appliance should not be used by, on, or near
children or individuals with certain disabilities.
3. Use this appliance only for its intended
use as described in this manual. Do not use attach-

4. Never operate this appliance if it has a dam-
aged cord or plug, if it is not working properly,
if it has been dropped, damaged, or dropped
into water. Return the appliance to a Conair
Service Center for examination and repair.
5. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. Do
not pull, twist, or wrap line cord around dryer,
even during storage.
6. Never block the air openings of the appliance or
place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or couch,
where the air openings may be blocked. Keep the
air openings free of lint, hair, and the like.
7. Never use while sleeping.
8. Never drop or insert any object into any open-
ing or hose.
9. Do not use outdoors or operate where
aerosol (spray) products are being used
or where oxygen is being administered.
10. Do not use an extension cord to operate
dryer.
11. Do not direct hot air toward eyes or other
heat-sensitive areas.
12. Attachments may be hot during use. Allow
them to cool before handling.
13. Do not place appliance on any surface while
it is operating.
14. While using the appliance, keep your hair out
of it. Keep your hair away from the air inlets.
15. Do not use with voltage converter.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use
only. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only.
Standard Dryers are designed to operate at 110
to 125 volts A.C.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). As a safety feature,
this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt
to defeat this safety feature.
IMPORTANT
1875 WATT OPERATING GUIDE
Use of this dryer on the same circuit or fuse with
other electrical products or appliances may trip
a 15 amp circuit breaker or blow a 15 amp fuse.
NEVER replace the fuse with one rated higher
than the capacity of the circuit. Doing so
could result in an electrical fire.
CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE EVERY TIME
YOU USE APPLIANCE.
This appliance is equipped with an Appliance
Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI), a safety fea-
ture that renders it inoperable under some
abnormal conditions, such as immersion in
water. To make sure the ALCI is functioning
properly, perform the following test. The purpose
of this test is to allow you to make sure the water
sensing system (ALCI) is working.
1. Plug in the appliance and press test button on
plug (See appropriate diagram below).
2. The appliance will stop working. There will be an
audible click and reset button will pop out.
3. To reset ALCI with a reset button, unit should
be unplugged. Then push reset button in, and
reinsert plug into outlet.
4. If ALCI is not functioning properly, return
appliance to nearest service center.
5. It is important that if immersion occurs, this
unit be brought to a service center. Do not try
to reset.

6. Be sure to repeat test every time you use the
unit to confirm ALCI is operational.
Should the appliance go off and the reset but-
ton pop up during use, this could indicate a
malfunction in the unit. Remove plug from outlet
and allow the appliance to cool. Reinsert plug
into outlet.
The appliance should then function normally.
If not, return to an authorized Conair Service
Center for evaluation and repair.
SUPER STYLING GUIDE
Your best looks begin with a good haircut that’s
well maintained. Always treat hair right with
superior quality shampoos, conditioners, and
finishing products.
DRYING BASICS
1. Shampoo and condition hair with products
of your choice. Rinse thoroughly. Towel dry
hair to remove excess moisture. Section hair.
2. The ion generator emits clouds of negatively
charged ions which will help to reduce static
electricity, control frizzy flyaways and contribute to
your hair’s shine.
3. The dryer has 2 heat/speed settings, as well
as a cool shot - whether you select the high set-
ting for maximum volume or a low cool setting
to lock in a style, you will always get the benefit
of the ionizing function.
4. If you use the dryer with a styling brush (the
professional way to style and dry at the same
time), brush each strand from underneath as
you direct hot air to top of strand, always moving
slowly and steadily up and down each strand.
This way, you’ll be aiming heat at your hair, not
at your scalp.
5. For quick touch-ups between shampoos, mist
hair to dampen it before styling with dryer.
6. When using your dryer to create curls and
waves, dry hair almost completely on a low tem-
perature setting, then use the diffuser and finish
styling by switching to cool (which also operates
with the IONIZING FUNCTION). This will help reduce
static again, and shine hair for a perfect finish.

Este aparato fue diseñado para uso doméstico.
Úselo solamente con Corriente Alterna (60 hertzi-
os). Los secadores estándares están diseñados
para funcionar con Corriente Alterna de 110 a
125 voltios.
Este aparato tiene una clavija polarizada (un polo
es más ancho que otro). Como medida de segu-
ridad, se podrá enchufar de una sola manera en
la toma de corriente polarizada. Si no entra por
completo, inviértela. Si aún no entra comple-
tamente, llame a un electricista calificado. No
intente vencer esta función de seguridad.

Usar este aparato en el mismo circuito o en el
mismo fusible con otros aparatos o electrodo-
mésticos puede activar el interruptor de cir-
cuito de 15 amp. o quemar un fusible de 15 amp.
NUNCA reemplace el fusible por uno de mayor
capacidad que la del circuito, ya que hacerlo
pudiera producir un incendio eléctrico.
PRUEBE EL CORTACIRCUITO DE
SEGURIDAD ANTES DE CADA USO
Este aparato está dotado de un cortacircuito de
seguridad llamado ALCI (Appliance Leakage Circuit
Interrupter), el cual apaga el secador en caso de
que ocurran situaciones anormales, por ejemplo si
el aparato caiga al agua. Haga la prueba siguiente
para asegurarse que el sistema de detección de
agua funcione correctamente.
1. Enchufe el aparato y apriete el botón de
prueba (véase el gráfico más abajo).
2. El aparato dejará de funcionar, se oirá un clic
y el botón de reajuste saltará.
3. Para reajustar el enchufe, asegúrese que el
aparato esté desenchufado, luego apriete el botón
de reajuste y vuelva a enchufar el aparato.
4. Si el cortacircuito de seguridad no está
funcionando correctamente, lleve su aparato
a un centro de servicio autorizado.
5. Si el aparato cae al agua, es muy importante
que lo lleve a un centro de servicio. No intente
reajustarlo.
6. Pruebe el cortacircuito de seguridad antes de
cada uso para asegurarse que está operativo.

Si el secador se apagara y el enchufe salta-
ra durante el uso, esto podría indicar un mal
funcionamiento. En tal caso, desenchufe el apara-
to y déjelo enfriar, luego vuelva a enchufarlo. El
aparato debería funcionar normalmente. En el
caso contrario, llévelo a un centro de servicio
autorizado para que lo revisen y lo reparen.
GUÍA PARA UN SÚPER MODELADO
La mejor apariencia empieza por un recorte de
cabello bien mantenido. Siempre cuide su cabello
con champúes, acondicionadores y productos de
acabado de calidad superior.
FUNDAMENTOS DEL SECADO
1. Lave y acondicione su cabello con los
productos de su elección. Enjuáguelo bien. Séquelo
con una toalla para eliminar el exceso de agua.
Divida el cabello en secciones.
2. El generador de iones emite iones negativos
que reducen la electricidad estática y ayudan a
controlar el cabello crespo y los pelos voladizos.
3. Su secador incluye 2 ajustes de velocidad,
3 opciones de temperatura y un disparo de
aire frío. Cualquier sea la combinación escogi-
da, la función iónica procura ventajas únicas y
le ofrece el control óptimo para un cabello brillante
y dócil.
4. Si use el secador y un cepillo de modelado simul-
táneamente (el método de los profesionales para
secar y modelar a la vez), coloque el cepillo debajo
de cada sección de cabello, y dirija el flujo de aire
caliente hacia la parte superior del cabello. Mueva
el cepillo y el secador simultáneamente hacia las
puntas, lentamente y uniformemente. Esa técnica
le permitirá dirigir el flujo de aire hacia el cabello,
no hacia el cuero cabelludo.
5. Para realizar retoques rápidos entre lavados,
rocíe un poco de agua sobre el cabello antes de
modelar con el secador.
6. Cuando use el secador para crear bucles
y ondas, seque el cabello casi por completo
usando un ajuste de temperatura suave, luego
fije el modelado usando el difusor y el disparo
de aire frío (lo cual también activará la función
iónica). Esto reducirá aún más la electricidad
estática y agregará brillo al cabello, para un
acabado perfecto.
