IMPORTANTES
Cuando se usan aparatos eléctricos, especialmente
en la presencia de niños, siempre se deben tomar
precauciones básicas de seguridad, entre las cuales
las siguientes:

PELIGRO – Cualquier electrodoméstico
permanece eléctricamente activo, incluso cuando el
interruptor está apagado. Para reducir el riesgo de
muerte o herida por descarga:
1. Siempre desconecte el aparato inmediatamente
después de usarlo.
2. No lo use mientras está tomando un baño o
una ducha.
3. No coloque ni guarde el aparato donde puede
caer o ser empujado a una bañera o un lavabo.
4. No coloque el aparato ni lo deje caer al agua u
otro líquido.
5. Si el aparato cae al agua, desconéctelo inmedi-
atamente. No toque el agua.

INSTRUCCIONES DE USO
Este aparato fue diseñado para uso doméstico.
Úselo solamente con Corriente Alterna (60 hertzios).
Los secadores estándares están diseñados para
funcionar con Corriente Alterna de 110 a 125 voltios.
Este aparato tiene una clavija polarizada (un polo
es más ancho que otro). Como medida de segu-
ridad, se podrá enchufar de una sola manera en
la toma de corriente polarizada. Si no entra por
completo, inviértela. Si aún no entra comple-
tamente, llame a un electricista calificado. No
intente vencer esta función de seguridad.

Usar este aparato en el mismo circuito o en el
mismo fusible con otros aparatos o electrodo-
mésticos puede activar el interruptor de circuito
de 15 amp. o quemar un fusible de 15 amp.
NUNCA reemplace el fusible por uno de mayor
capacidad que la del circuito, ya que hacerlo
pudiera producir un incendio eléctrico.
PRUEBE EL CORTACIRCUITO DE SEGURIDAD
ANTES DE CADA USO
Este aparato está dotado de un cortacircuito
de seguridad llamado ALCI (Appliance Leakage
Circuit Interrupter), el cual apaga el secador en
caso de que ocurran situaciones anormales, por
ejemplo si el aparato cae al agua. Haga la prueba
siguiente para asegurarse que el sistema de
detección de agua funciona correctamente.
1. Enchufe el aparato y apriete el botón de
prueba (véase el gráfico más abajo).
2. El aparato dejará de funcionar, se oirá un clic
y el botón de reajuste saltará.
3. Para reajustar el enchufe, asegúrese que el
aparato está desenchufado, luego apriete el
botón de reajuste y vuelva a enchufar el aparato.
4. En caso de que el cortacircuito de segu-
ridad no esté funcionando correctamente,
lleve su aparato a un centro de servicio
autorizado.
5. Si el aparato cae al agua, es muy importante
que lo lleve a un centro de servicio. No intente
reajustarlo.
6. Pruebe el cortacircuito de seguridad antes de
cada uso para asegurarse que está operativo.
Si el secador se apagara y el enchufe saltara
durante el uso, esto podría indicar un mal fun-
cionamiento. En tal caso, desenchufe el aparato
y déjelo enfriar, luego vuelva a enchufarlo. El
aparato debería funcionar normalmente. En el
caso contrario, llévelo a un centro de servicio
autorizado para que lo revisen y lo reparen.
GUÍA PARA UN SÚPER MODELADO
La mejor apariencia empieza por un recorte de
cabello bien mantenido. Siempre cuide su cabel-
lo con champúes, acondicionadores y productos
de acabado de calidad superior.
FUNDAMENTOS DEL SECADO
1. Lave y acondicione su cabello con los produc-
tos de su elección. Enjuáguelo bien. Séquelo con
una toalla para eliminar el exceso de agua. Divida
el cabello en secciones. Usando el secador y un
cepillo de modelado simultáneamente, dirija el
flujo de aire caliente hacia cada sección. Mueva
el cepillo y el secador simultáneamente hacia las
puntas, lentamente y uniformemente, dirigiendo
el flujo de aire hacia el cabello, no hacia el cuero
cabelludo. Su secador genera una nube de iones
negativos que ayudan a reducir la electricidad
estática, controlar el encrespamiento y los pelos
sueltos, y agregar brillo.
2. Mantenga las entradas de aire del aparato
sin obstrucciones y libres de pelo mientras lo
esté usando.
3. Para no lastimar el cabello, no concentre el
flujo de aire en una sección solamente. Mueva el
secador al mismo tiempo que el cabello.
4. Para realizar retoques rápidos entre lavados,
rocíe un poco de agua sobre el cabello antes de
modelar con el secador
5. Cuando se usa el secador para crear bucles
y ondas, seque el cabello casi por completo
usando un ajuste de temperatura suave, luego
fije el modelado usando el disparo de aire frío.
Esto sellará el tallo del pelo y fijará el peinado.
CUERPO Y VOLUMEN
Para crear mayor volumen,
voltee la cabeza hacia abajo
mientras seca. Dirija el flujo
de aire a la raíz del cabello
para obtener el máximo
volumen. Una vez que el
cabello esté seco, vuelva la
cabeza hacia atrás y peine el
cabello en la forma deseada.
ALISADO
Para crear una apariencia

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use
only. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only.
Standard Dryers are designed to operate at 110
to 125 volts A.C.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). As a safety feature,
this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt
to defeat this safety feature.
IMPORTANT
1875 WATT OPERATING GUIDE
Use of this dryer on the same circuit or fuse with
other electrical products or appliances may trip
a 15 amp circuit breaker or blow a 15 amp fuse.
NEVER replace the fuse with one rated higher
than the capacity of the circuit. Doing so
could result in an electrical fire.
CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE EVERY TIME
YOU USE APPLIANCE.
This appliance is equipped with an Appliance
Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI), a safety fea-
ture that renders it inoperable under some
abnormal conditions, such as immersion in
water. To make sure the ALCI is functioning
properly, perform the following test. The purpose
of this test is to allow you to make sure the water
sensing system (ALCI) is working.
1. Plug in the appliance and press test button on
plug (See appropriate diagram below).
2. The appliance will stop working. There will be an
audible click and reset button will pop out.
3. To reset ALCI with a reset button, unit should
be unplugged. Then push reset button in, and
reinsert plug into outlet.
4. If ALCI is not functioning properly, return
appliance to nearest service center.
5. It is important that if immersion occurs, this
unit be brought to a service center. Do not try
to reset.
6. Be sure to repeat test every time you use the
unit to confirm ALCI is operational.
Should the appliance go off and the reset button
pop up during use, this could indicate a malfunc-
tion in the unit. Remove plug from outlet and
allow the appliance to cool. Push reset button
and reinsert plug into outlet.
The appliance should then function normally.
If not, return to an authorized Conair Service
Center for evaluation and repair.
SUPER STYLING GUIDE
Your best looks begin with a good haircut that’s
well maintained. Always treat hair right with
superior quality shampoos, conditioners, and
finishing products.
DRYING BASICS
1. Shampoo and condition hair with products of your
choice. Rinse thoroughly. Towel dry hair to remove
excess moisture. Using the dryer along with your
styling brush, start at a lower setting and direct hot
air through a section of hair at a time. Move dryer
steadily across each section so that the hot air passes
through hair. Direct air flow at hair not scalp. Clouds
of negatively charged ions will help to reduce static
electricity, control frizzy flyaways and contribute to
your hair’s shine.
2. Keep dryer’s air intake vents unobstructed
and free from hair while drying.
3. To avoid over drying, do not concentrate heat on
any one section for any length of time. Keep dryer
moving as you style.
4. For quick touch ups, between shampoos, dampen
hair with a mist of water before styling with the
dryer.
5. When using your dryer to create curls and waves,
dry hair almost completely on a warmer temperature
setting, then finish styling with Cool Shot feature
to close hair shaft and lock in style.
6. Use the concentrator for more directed airflow
and pinpoint styling.
BODY & VOLUME
To create extra volume, turn
head upside down while
drying. Position the air flow
toward the roots for maximum
lift. When hair is dry, toss head
back and brush hair into place.
STRAIGHTENING
Work with hair in sections
when creating a super
straight look. Use a large
round brush (approximately
2" in diameter), to smooth out
each section as you dry.
MAKING WAVES
Tousled, natural-looking waves are easily created
by grasping hair at the roots
and scrunching between
fingertips while drying. For
curlier, wavier hair use the
diffuser attachment.
